Journalism 2nd Story-Tipton Middle School

On Wednesday, Jan 31, 2007, Tipton Middle School honored the Dallas County Board members.  Tipton students showed their appreciation by creating and signing a giant size appreciation card.   Board member, Peggy Williamson, accepted the card on behalf of all of the members at the School Board Recognition assembly.  Dr. Fannie Major-McKenzie, the school board Superintendent, was present at the assembly and was presented a plaque for outstanding leadership.

Selma Mayor, James Perkins, gave a speech and signed a proclamation for school board member appreciation.  Tipton Middle School’s choir, Sounds of Excellence, performed three wonderful selections throughout the program.  The dance team performed gracefully to a musical selection.  Also in attendance was Dr. Larkin from the Superintendent’s office.
